The health and safety of audiences, performers, staff, volunteers and the entire Salk community remain top priority for the Salk Institute.
All guests attending a Salk Science & Music performance are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and present proof of full vaccination and photo ID upon entry.
“Fully vaccinated” is defined by the Center for Disease Control as being at least 14 days after the receipt of the second dose of a two-dose vaccine (such as the currently available Pfizer-BioNtech and Moderna) or one dose of a single-dose vaccine (like Johnson & Johnson).
Acceptable proof of vaccination is 1) the physical COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card issued at the time of vaccination, 2) a photograph/image of the COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card, or 3) a digital vaccination record. All residents of California may request a digital vaccination record at https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov.
The Salk Institute is a mask-friendly environment. All guests are welcome to wear a mask while on campus and throughout the performance as an additional safety measure, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are not required.
All documents will be checked by Salk staff before attendees will be admitted to the auditorium. The Salk Institute reserves the right to deny admission to any guest who does not provide the necessary documentation or follow any COVID-related policy.
Note: guidelines could change as state and local health authorities update their health guidance based on evolving circumstances of vaccination rates and community infection rates.
